A pre-wedding photoshoot can be physically tiring and mentally draining WHILE you are still worrying about the weather, your poses and the list goes on.
Here are our 5 tips for an enjoyable and worry-free pre-wedding photoshoot.
1. Get your Stylist / Make-up Artist to tag along
The bride and groom may be taking on different looks or styles for the photoshoot, so it’s advisable to have a professional tagging along for the whole shoot, ensuring you are looking your best for each set. With their experience, they can provide advice in the setup styling and poses.
2. Bring someone you are comfortable with
We all get nervous and uneasy when it comes to being on the front end of the camera. One very useful way to tackle this problem would be to bring your best friend (or anyone you are very comfortable with) along to the shoot to ease you up.
3. Prepare an emergency food pack
The shoot might sometimes take up to 8 or 10 hours. So it’s good to keep some snacks/drinks by your side to make sure you’re going to get dehydrated and have enough glucose to sustain you for the rest of the day.
4. Fix and follow your schedule
The different lighting over the course of the day provides a very different feel to a place. Take the beach for example, the photos will turn out magical and ethereal if they were taken during the golden hour (6.00pm-7.30pm) as compared to when they are taken in the afternoon (12.00nn-3.00pm) when the sunlight is especially harsh.
(Oh, and always remember to have a plan B!)
5. Keep it fun
Keep in mind the photoshoot is to record your happiest moments with your other half. If there’s only one thing you can do, it’s to have fun with your partner during the shoot.
And all that's left to do is to look forward to getting back your photographs!
